Director’s Statement
Rambling Accents explores the liminal space between the public and the private. It drifts between foreign languages, native tongues, and a lingua franca. It emerges in the half-conscious moments when you fall asleep in a film theater, in the quiet of the night when your room is dark, yet the person outside of your window unaware of your silent gaze. It surfaces in the unsolvable loneliness of a metropolis--when human instinct compels one to follow and understand with another.
