🌟 What are the expected benefits of being a Passholder?

As a Passholder, you can book any MINT CFF films, events & programmes you want to attend, including the Festival Gala with drink receptions, and free access to the following related events:

  • Workshops (You need to use your pass to book seats for this event at cinema’s website)

  • Director’s Q&A: interactions with selected filmmakers (No need to reserve seats for these events; the Q&A sessions will follow certain film screenings. Remain in your seats after the screening to participate in the director's Q&A.)

  • Complimentary Chinese New Year and International Women’s Day celebration activities throughout the weekend
    (No reservation required. For more information, please ask our festival team on site. We’re currently planning a seris of events, including an after-party running late into Sunday night at the Passholder-only festival lounge.)

Director’s Q&A:

We will release the full schedule of the director's Q&A on-site. Please be aware that the Q&A format is recorded in video or is delivered in person, and is subject to changes. We’ve prepared the questions in advance for the directors.

Indoor & outdoor activities are free to the public: 

  • 6 March, Friday morning : A guided hiking tour starting from the Kendal area, the gateway to the beautiful Lake District. Limited spaces available; some hiking experience is required. Further details and requirements see here

  • Chinese New Year celebration events will be updated soon! The time of these activities organised by the local community is still pending. Please arrive at the festival venue to learn more about these events.

  • All festival programmes, including screenings, the gala, and the workshop, are held at our new venue, Kendal Brewery Arts Cinema, 122A Highgate, Kendal LA9 4HE, United

    DJ set, cultural events, and outdoor activities will take place across various art and cultural venues in Kendal, which is within walking distance of the cinema.

  • Yes. You do need to pre-book a seat for your chosen films/events/programmes at the cinema website after purchasing a festival pass.

  • Please subscribe to our website to learn when and how to book your seats after purchasing the festival pass. Festival pass holders can start to reserve seats after early Feb on cinema’s website.

  • The festival pass is associated with your name and can be only used by the pass holder. You need to show the digital pass when you enter the screening hall.

    One pass for one person only. your accompany is welcome to get their own festival pass.

  • Festival pass gives you priority and access to book a seat for any MINT CFF films/events/programmes you want to attend. We encourage pass holders to reserve a seat early on before the general film tickets are on sale.

  • We wish that we could have provided you with free accommodation with the pass but we’re so sorry that the answer is a No. Accommodation and travelling info can be found here. We are building on a list of recommended accommodations and hope to secure exclusive deals for you!

    We recommend that pass holders add our WeChat assistant（ID: MintCFF）to connect with each other at our official festival community to arrange your group trip earlier .

  • Can I return the festival pass if I cannot make it to the event?

    Unfortunately, we do not operate refunds unless the festival is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

    For other individual film/event ticket purchases, please refer to the refund policy of the cinema here. Please contact boxoffice@breweryarts.co.uk as soon as possible to explain the circumstances. With enough notice, they may able to swap your booking to another MINT festival film/event.
